Everyday work

Your day in My work

New replies, mentions, todos, reminders and deadlines - everything that needs you, in one place.

My work is your home page in Mighty. It brings together what needs your attention across every workflow: new client replies, teammates mentioning you, your todos, and a calendar of deadlines and reminders. Everything on it is personal to you.

Open it from My work in the navigation (the first tab on a phone). Its number counts new replies and mentions you haven't seen yet.

Ownership decides what you see

Replies and workflow due dates appear in My work for the workflow's owner. If a workflow belongs to you, make sure you're set as its owner in the workflow's Details - a workflow with no owner doesn't appear in anyone's My work.

Find your way around

On a computer, My work has a panel with three tabs - Replies, Mentions and Todos - beside a calendar. On narrower screens the panel can fold away to a slim strip; click a tab on the strip, or the expand arrow, to open it again. Mighty remembers whether you prefer it open or closed.

On a phone, choose between Replies, Mentions, Todos and Calendar at the top.

The line under the title summarises your day, such as 3 overdue and 2 due today across 6 workflows - the overdue and due-today figures count todos. My work updates by itself as new mail and changes arrive; there's no need to refresh.

Replies

Replies shows the latest client reply on each thread of the open workflows you own, newest first.

  • New replies are marked New. Click one to open the thread at that message.
  • A reply counts as seen once you've opened its thread. Seen replies stay in the list, dimmed.
  • Switch on Unseen only to hide the ones you've seen.

A reply leaves the list when its workflow is completed or cancelled, its thread is archived, or you're no longer the owner. Mail waiting in Triage doesn't appear here until someone files it.

Mention a teammate

Comments are internal notes on a thread, visible only to your team - never to clients. To bring a colleague in:

  1. Open the thread and click the reply box.
  2. Switch it from Reply to Comment.
  3. Type @ and choose a teammate from the list.
  4. Write your note and click Add comment.

The comment appears in the conversation as a yellow card. Only its author can Edit or Delete it.

The person you mention sees it under Mentions in their My work - from any workflow, whoever owns it - and gets an email if they have that switched on. Clicking a mention opens the thread with the comment highlighted and marks it as seen; Mark all read clears them all at once.

Todos

Todos lists open todos that need you:

  • todos on open workflows you own, whoever they're assigned to, and
  • todos assigned to you on anyone's workflow.

They're grouped by due date - Overdue, Today, Tomorrow, Later and No date - or choose Group by workflow from the grouping menu. Tick a todo to complete it; it stays on screen, crossed out, so you can untick it if you made a mistake. Click a todo to open its workflow. See Todos and AI suggestions for more.

The calendar

The calendar shows, by colour:

  • Workflows - due dates of open workflows you own
  • Todos - due dates of the todos in your Todos tab
  • Reminders - the reminders you've set

Switch between Week and Month, use the arrows to move through time and Today to come back. Use Tag to focus on particular work, and the Workflows, Todos and Reminders buttons to show or hide each kind.

On a computer or tablet, drag an item to another day to change its due date or move a reminder. Click an item to open it.

On a phone, Calendar shows a week at a time as a list. Tap a day in the strip at the top to jump to it; overdue todos are listed first.

Reminders

Set a reminder on any thread to come back to it later - for example, if a client says they'll send something on Friday.

  1. Open the thread and click the bell in its header (Remind me). On a phone, tap ⋯, then Remind me.
  2. Choose In 1 hour, This evening, Tomorrow morning or Next week, or pick your own date and time and click Set reminder.

The bell lights up with the reminder's time. When the time comes, you get an email (if switched on) with a link back to the thread. Reminders also appear on your calendar and in your daily digest.

Reminders are private - only you see yours. Each thread can have one reminder per person; setting a new one replaces the old. A reminder stays in place after it fires, so once you've dealt with it, open the bell and choose Clear reminder.

Email notifications

Choose which emails Mighty sends you under Account → Notifications (on a phone, More → Notifications). Changes save straight away, and apply in every workspace you belong to.

NotificationWhen it's sent
New reply on a workflow I ownA contact replies on a thread in a workflow you own
A todo is assigned to meA teammate assigns a todo to you
I'm mentioned in a commentA teammate tags you with @
A thread reminder is dueA reminder you set comes due
Daily digestEach morning at about 7am, a summary of your overdue and upcoming todos, workflow due dates, reminders and unread replies

All are on to begin with. The daily digest is sent for each workspace you belong to, and only when there's something to report. Times follow your own timezone, set under Account → Timezone.

Mighty doesn't notify you when new mail arrives in Triage - keep an eye on the count next to Triage instead.

Sync deadlines to Google Calendar

You can see your Mighty deadlines alongside your other appointments in Google Calendar. Mighty adds them to a separate calendar of their own, called Mighty deadlines, so your existing calendars aren't touched.

  1. Go to Account → Calendars (on a phone, More → Calendars).
  2. Click Connect Google Calendar and choose the Google account to use. It doesn't have to be the one you sign in to Mighty with.
  3. Under Workspaces to sync, tick the workspaces whose deadlines you want.
  4. Optionally tick Hide workflow and todo titles, so events show only as Mighty deadline. Use this if other people can see your calendar.
  5. Click Preview deadlines to see how many will be added, then Start syncing.

The first sync can take a few minutes. After that, changes usually reach Google within about five minutes.

What's included: the same workflow and todo due dates as your My work calendar, as all-day events that show you as free and have no alerts. Each event links back to Mighty. Reminders aren't synced.

Keep editing in Mighty. If you change an event's title or date in Google, Mighty puts it back - move the deadline in Mighty instead. Colours you choose in Google are kept. Completed and reassigned items are removed from Google automatically.

To stop, return to Account → Calendars:

  • Stop calendar sync removes Mighty's events and stops syncing. Your Google sign-in stays connected.
  • Remove Google access also withdraws Mighty's permission to your Google account - including Google sign-in, if you use it.

If the page says Google access has expired or needs attention, click Reconnect Google Calendar to pick up where you left off.

Good to know

  • Search is always a keystroke away: press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows), or use Search at the top, to find workflows, threads, files, contacts, comments and todos. Emails are searched by subject.
  • Owners and admins also have Team - an overview of what needs attention across everyone's work: overdue items, client replies waiting on the firm, stalled workflows and who's carrying what.
