AI assistants

Use Mighty from Claude or ChatGPT

Connect an AI assistant to look up client work, prepare workflows and todos, and draft emails for you to review.

You can connect Mighty to Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants that support custom connectors. Once connected, you can ask about your work in plain English and have the assistant do the legwork:

  • "What's waiting on me today?"
  • "Summarise where we are with Acme's VAT return, and read the bank statement they sent."
  • "Start Jo Smith's year-end accounts from our template."
  • "Draft a reply chasing the missing P60."
  • "Tidy up Triage - file anything from existing clients."
The assistant never sends email

When it writes an email, the assistant saves it as a draft on the thread and gives you a link. You open it in Mighty, check it, and send it yourself.

Connect your assistant

  1. In Mighty, go to Account → Connected apps (on a phone, More → Connected apps) and click Copy next to the connector URL.
  2. Add Mighty to your AI app:
    • Claude (Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans): go to Settings → Connectors, choose Add custom connector and paste the URL. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner of your Claude organisation may need to add it first. Once added, it works in Claude's web, desktop and mobile apps.
    • ChatGPT: add a custom app or connector with the same URL. Depending on your plan this is in developer mode, or in your ChatGPT workspace admin's app settings.
    • Other apps that support remote MCP connectors: paste the URL where the app asks for one.
  3. Your AI app opens Mighty. Sign in if you're asked to (two-factor authentication works as normal).
  4. If you belong to more than one workspace, choose a workspace. Each connection works in one workspace; to use another, connect again.
  5. Review what you're allowing and click Allow.

You're returned to your AI app, connected.

What you're allowing

The consent screen lists:

  • Read your workspace - see workflows, conversations, contacts, files, todos and the Triage queue. This is always included.
  • Prepare work - create and update workflows and todos, file Triage mail and write email drafts for you to review. It can't send email. Untick this for a read-only connection.
  • Stay connected - keep access until you disconnect, without signing in again. Shown when the app asks for it.

The assistant acts as you, so it can only do what your role allows. If you're a member, for example, it can't add tags or see the Team overview.

What it can do

Look things up - with any connection:

  • your day: new replies, mentions, your todos and what's due this week
  • workflows and their threads, messages, comments, todos, suggestions, files and AI summary
  • the text of PDFs, Word documents and other files on a workflow
  • contacts, companies, contact lists and your team
  • schedules, templates and their run history
  • the Triage queue, with suggested workflows for each message

The assistant can search like Mighty does - emails by subject - and then read a thread in full.

Prepare work - with Prepare work allowed:

  • create workflows, including from your templates - it's told to prefer a template for routine work
  • update a workflow's details, owner and status, and complete, reopen or cancel it
  • add and update todos, and accept or reject AI suggestions
  • draft emails - replies, or the first email on a new thread - with attachments
  • add files to a workflow, such as a document it has written for you
  • change a thread's subject, mailbox and recipients; archive and restore threads
  • add internal comments, including @mentions, and set your reminders
  • create and update contacts and companies, and manage contact lists
  • create and edit schedules and templates - it's told to confirm the details with you first
  • file, dismiss and restore Triage mail, and send a filing back

Before it removes or hides anything - discarding a draft, removing a recipient, dismissing Triage mail, archiving a thread - the assistant is told to act only when you've asked. Many AI apps also ask you to confirm these actions. When filing Triage mail would add new people to a thread, it asks you first.

What it can't do

  • Send or schedule email. You always send.
  • Delete workflows, contacts, companies, schedules or templates.
  • Change workspace settings - mailboxes, members, billing or AI access.
  • Go beyond your access - it can't do anything your role doesn't allow, or see another workspace.

Review a draft

When the assistant drafts an email, it gives you a link to the thread. Open it (signing in if needed) and the draft is waiting in the reply box, under a notice saying which assistant drafted it and that nothing has been sent. In the thread list, the thread shows Draft · Claude.

  • Edit the draft as you like, then Send now or schedule it as usual. Your signature is added underneath, as for any email you write.
  • Don't want it? Click Discard draft.
  • If you'd already started typing your own reply on that thread, Mighty doesn't overwrite it - choose Replace to use the assistant's draft or Keep mine.

A thread holds one waiting draft at a time, and anyone in your workspace who opens the thread can see and send it. Sending any email on the thread clears the draft.

Stay safe with email content

Emails, attachments and Triage messages come from outside your firm and could contain text written to mislead an AI. Mighty marks this content as untrusted and tells the assistant never to follow instructions inside it - and because it can't send email, the worst it could do is prepare a draft for you to review. Still, read drafts and changes before acting on them, as you would anyone's work.

Manage connections

Your connections: Account → Connected apps lists every assistant you've connected, in every workspace, with its access (Read & prepare drafts or Read only). Click Disconnect to remove one; it loses access immediately. To change a connection from read-only to prepare work, disconnect it and connect again.

For the whole workspace (owners and admins): Settings → AI assistants shows every member's connections, and Allow AI assistant connections turns the connector on or off for the workspace. Turning it off stops every connection straight away; turning it back on restores them. It's on to begin with.

Access follows your membership: if someone leaves or is removed from the workspace, their connections are revoked, along with any drafts their assistant had waiting.

Good to know

  • Things the assistant does - adding a todo, filing a message, posting a comment - appear in Mighty as done by you. Drafts are labelled with the assistant's name.
  • If the assistant says it's been disconnected, or that connections have been turned off, reconnect from your AI app or ask an admin to check Settings → AI assistants.
  • Your AI app's own terms and privacy settings apply to the conversations you have with it.
